Why TotallyMoney is a new breed of finance company

Jun 2nd 2021At TotallyMoney, we’re very excited to have been awarded a three star accreditation by Best Companies — the highest standard of workplace engagement. What’s more, we’ve been ranked as the 5th best company in finance across the United Kingdom.
In light of this, we thought we’d highlight more about how we’ve achieved this and what it’s like to work at TotallyMoney.
Customer-first — always
The main focus at TotallyMoney is, and always will be, the customer. Many companies say they are ‘customer-first’, but we try to really live this by maintaining a programme of continuous customer insights and feedback so we can put their needs, concerns, and experience first. This includes close collaboration with our customer helpdesk, frequent in-product feedback capture, and deeper analysis with specific groups of our customers. This gives everyone at TotallyMoney a drive and focus to do better by the customer.
This has been as important as ever over the last 12 months, as lenders tightened their eligibility requirements. In response, we’ve placed renewed importance on our customer-first approach, making sure that the customer remains our number one priority in whatever we do — from tech, to marketing, to commercial operations.
A win for everybody
As our technical platform is modern and dynamic, we’ve been able to add benefits such as guaranteed rates, guaranteed limits, and pre-approval to credit cards and loans by directly integrating our platform with many lenders. This gives the best outcome for our customers in terms of certainty and transparency and also happens to be the best outcome for both our lenders and ourselves too.
For customers, that means they see products with increased eligibility or guarantees, so they’re more likely to be accepted and get offered what they applied for. Lenders then have to process fewer applications.
And finally, we offer a better experience on TotallyMoney, so customers can be confident we’ll support them in finding the best option next time they need a credit card or loan. That helps us to see, every day, how our work impacts lives across the UK, and keeps our focus in check as we work towards a better financial future.
In our strive to be customer-focused, we’ve launched new features this year too. The app-exclusive Credit Assistant shows our customers exactly how they use credit and if they could improve their borrowing habits.
Plus, Score Analysis provides an analysed, detailed report on customers’ credit behaviour, so they can see what is affecting their credit score today. Finally, Energy Assistant indicates if customers are overspending on energy and helps to find them a cheaper deal.
Innovation through collaboration
At TotallyMoney we take an agile approach to innovation, which sets us apart from larger financial institutions. We work collaboratively, across teams and departments, using a squad framework to ensure an agile, yet stable, approach. And, using our value of build, measure, learn, we regularly tweak and change squad setups to make sure our output is the very best.
We also put a lot of value on data and strive to be as data-driven as possible. So, whether that’s an internal decision affecting the make-up of our various teams and squads, or an external, customer-facing decision, you can be sure it’s been made by thoroughly examining the data to make sure it’s the best for everybody.
