Providing the best credit report...
Providing the best credit report, for everyone — for 5 years
By Alastair Douglas, CEO
Jan 18th 2022As a company which prides itself on being customer-first, we were delighted to have been named the Best Credit Report Provider by Moneynet Awards, for the fifth consecutive year.
This is thanks to the continued effort from the entire TotallyMoney team. We’ve continued to adapt through the pandemic, onboarding new staff and growing the team while navigating the continued widespread effects of covid. So, to the team — thank you.
Above all, though, we’re so happy we can deliver this service for our customers. They are, and always will be, our first priority, and we’re glad we can help them move forward towards their financial goals.
Providing the best service for our customers
As well as being our first priority, our customers are also central to the TotallyMoney mission — to help everyone move their finances forward. We’re always looking for ways to improve our central report offering, so our customers have a better, more fulfilling experience and can achieve their aims quicker.
So, in 2021, we launched three new features to improve our credit report.
The first, Dynamic Actions, is designed to help customers improve their credit score, eligibility, and standing with lenders. Our app will now show personalised recommendations on the dashboard for each and every customer, on how they could improve their score. This could be anything from getting on the electoral register to keeping your employment details up-to-date.
Live Alerts is another new feature, which will notify customers when an account is opened in their name. As well as showing where they stand, if the account was not opened by them, they can take action. Identity fraud is a growing problem in the UK, with 180,000 cases in the first six months of 2021, an increase of 11%, according to Cifas*. With that in mind, we’re glad we’re able to help our customers stay informed about new accounts opened in their name/changes to their credit report.
On top of that, we’ve expanded our range of emails designed to offer customers the best deals for them, based on what they’ve been looking at in the app. These emails are highly personalised and are unique to every customer, meaning everyone can get the offer they want.
We’re not stopping
The impact of the pandemic continues to unravel, creating the emerging cost of living crisis. Energy bills are soaring and are expected to increase by more than 50% over the next few months. Inflation is at a 10-year high, the Bank of England is increasing interest rates and tax hikes are only expected to further this problem.
It's therefore important that we continue with the work, not for the accolades but to help everyone move their finances forward.
Andrew Hagger, Chair of the Moneynet Awards judging panel said: "TotallyMoney continues to evolve and develop, offering its customers a comprehensive feature-packed service.
"The product offering has grown year-on-year, and is so much more than just a credit report service. It offers in-depth insights and product recommendations, taking the painful guesswork out of the equation for customers looking to borrow.
"Winning five years in a row is no mean feat in such a competitive market, but I'm sure there's more to come in 2022. And who knows, it could be six in 2023. Either way, I know the TotallyMoney team won't be taking it for granted."
