I sympathise with the Egg card holders who have used their card responsibly but have had their credit line cancelled because they are low profit. Someone should start a movement to persuade remaining Egg card holders to cancel theirs in protest.

"You should cancel any unnecessary credit cards"
This is the most irresponsible piece of advice I have heard about credit use, doing so will instantly lower your credit score by increasing your used credit to available credit ratio, one of the key components of the FICO score. That alone will disqualify you getting new cards should you need them and will give a reason for the credit card companies you are still using to increase your rate.

Carrie

(BANKS HAVE OVERHEADS TOO!) No doubt you would be happy paying 19% + on credit cards (or happy being denied credit!) and will be first in the queue with your personal cheque book out to help pay for the champagne at the christmas party.

Without people like yourself how would these bank managers on £10 million bonus' sleep at night.
