I’m always on the look out for inexpensive ways to add a little variety to my workouts. Joining a gym or enrolling in a yoga or pilates course can be expensive, especially if you just want something to complement your outdoor workouts during the stupidly cold winter months.
So I was excited to see that you can get free workouts for your iPod or iPhone, like this one. You get a mini yoga class that you can do anywhere, anytime, for free. This one offers yoga sequences that you can follow (with or without music and audio instruction) to help lift your spirits or ease stress in a mini-workout.
The free workouts are shorter than the longer ones that you have to pay for, but they are a good way to try before you buy – and even if you do splurge for the full versions, they are VERY cheap (as in a couple of quid!).
There are all sorts of applications to choose from. Another great and inexpensive one is iTreadmill which is only 59p and basically turns your iPhone into a very fancy pedometer.
Have you found any other good free or inexpensive workout apps? Let me know!
