Wedding fever pitch

It’s here! The closest London will ever come to Mardi Gras and Glastonbury rolled into one: THE ROYAL WEDDING! I have to confess that I am VERY excited about today, and will dedicate the entire day to celebrating properly… with a glass of bubbles in one hand and a trifle in the other. I haven’t painted a Union Jack on my face and am not planning to, but stay tuned.

Imagine being Kate Middleton right now… I was nervous enough on the morning of my wedding and I didn’t have three billion people watching me do it. Do you think she has the same worries that we all do on the day? I don’t think she has to worry about florists and cake deliveries, but I’ll bet she’s given strict instructions to her bridesmaids regarding that uncle we all have to drinks to much, knocks people over on the dancefloor while attempting to breakdance and then falls asleep in the corner. Ah, weddings.

Be sure to check out the BBC website for full guides on all the action and where to watch from. And whatever you are doing today, be it hosting a street party, heading to Hyde Park, or yes, even if you are one of the nutters who slept in The Mall last night, enjoy yourself. But what are you doing here? Go turn on the TV.

Cheers!
