Had a lovely morning at the Cosmo Blog Awards yesterday at Sketch. Sadly no award for my blog, but I was surprised to learn that over 15,000 blogs were submitted for the awards, so I was really pleased to be among the 10 or so blogs shortlisted for the Lifestyle category.
Winner of my category was the lovely and deserving Diary of a Vintage Girl, with highly commended going to World of Kitsch. I hope they did a bit of celebrating last night!

This was the first year for the awards, and Cosmo put on a really good event and gave us all goodie bags full of beauty products. It was really inspiring to be in a room with a bunch of very talented and enthusiastic women (and a few men, too) who are all dedicated to writing about things they love.
Next year I hope the competition is even bigger and better, and think maybe the event might have benefitted from a keynote speaker to say a few words about blogging – someone like LLG who everyone knows and reads. But all up, a fantastic experience.
