Get yourself down to a free local bonfire and fireworks display for a sport of Guy Fawkes fun on a budget.

Birmingham

Drag your guy over to Pype Hayes Park in North Birmingham for a free fireworks display. The gates open early at 4.30pm with the display due to start at 7.30p, you’ll find food stalls and a fun fair to keep you entertained in the meantime.

London

Whizz down (see what I did there) to south London for Blackheath’s firework extravaganza. Known to attract over 100,000 people this event throngs with the hustle and bustle of a fairground and dozens of food vendors so you can treat yourself to a traditional toffee apple as you watch the fireworks overhead.

North East

Whitely Bay is the place to be for fireworks action in the north east, as North Tyneside Council host a free display at The Links. Get there early as the display starts at 7pm sharp.

Leeds

The biggest bonfire night event in Leeds is held at Roundhay Park. Huddle around the bonfire with the tens of thousands of expected visitors and find yourself a good spot for the fireworks display at 8pm.

Liverpool

If you’re in the Merseyside area, find your way to either Sefton Park or Newsham Park as Liverpool Council set off simultaneous displays across the city. This display is due to start at 7.30pm.

Glasgow

Head to Glasgow Green to see how Glasgow does Guy Fawkes night with the famous Winter Gardens as a beautiful backdrop. Entertainment includes fireworks, laser shows and live bands from 6.30pm.

Manchester

Platt Fields is the place to become bonfire night in Manchester, featuring a family fun fair, food stalls and a fireworks display starting at 7.30pm. Get in there early because this place gets busy.

Bristol

Featuring Bristol’s very own Reggae Orchestra and stalls that will cell you hot cider, why would you want to be anywhere other than Lawrence Hill’s Trinity Centre with the entertainment rolling on until 10.30pm.
