This is pretty surprising information.. It almost seems backwards ... Actors are safe drivers and Doctors are dangerous drivers? Huh?! I'm not sure I believe it.

What you have are two groups. One lives in a chaotic and fast-paced world, the other lives in an ordered world. For example, a watchmaker and astrologer, understand that patience is a virtue - they probably drive with lots of space around them, they drive at a reasonable speed, they take their time, they don't care about being late because they know saving a few minutes is not worth creating a catastrophe. On the other hand, you have doctors, psychologists, lifeguards - people who believe the world would fall appart if they didn't show up on time.

Redo the stats this time controlling for age. . . I am sure some of the trend you are seeing is age related not profession related. How many 60 year old lifeguards do you know, and conversely how many 20 year old astrologers do you know?

Why is it that lifeguards are the most careless drivers and astrologers are the safest?...

When it comes to driving, some of Britain’s most well respected workers are letting their profession down, causing accidents and generally showing that a responsible job doesn’t necessarily mean being responsible behind the wheel....

Isn't it funny how the people who are most likely to be so broke that they don't own a car are ranked the least likely to have caused a car accident?
