Friday grapevine: weekly blog round-up

It’s been a while since I did a run round the blogs to see what’s cooking, and today seems like a good time, because, well, what else are you going to do until Friday evening beer o’clock? Work? That’s what I thought. Let us commence:

Mother Miser posts about the merits of having a good tailor to get the most out of your wardrobe

The worst ways to save for retirement

Krystal at Give me back my five bucks asks, what qualifies you to be a personal finance blogger?

Fabulously Broke explains why she doesn’t talk about money with coworkers or friends

Stuff to do in London this weekend (including freebies!) and ten of the best outdoor activites in London

Viviana at The lean times talks stock piling or hoarding?

Be warned: consumers are being advised to steer clear of PPI claims handlers

Get in on the party action with after-hours openings at London’s museums this summer

Excellent post on London’s best charity shops (my vote goes to Oxfam in St John’s Wood too)

Miss Thrifty reflects on missing out on tickets for the 2012 olympics – and is glad that she did!

Now look, there’s only an hour or so now until your apéritif – mine is going to be a BIG one because it has been a ridiculously long and busy week! Here’s to not relying on Blogger to publish your blog! Cheers.
